One of the small things in life we’d all like to control is when we wake up. We’d like to be fully rested before we start our days, right? Well, sadly, a lot of us can’t dictate our own bedtimes and arousals.
But at least we can decide what sounds we want to wake up to. Sure, there’s always been ways to load songs up and set them up so your phone can play them as your alarm, but a new Spotify integration with the Google Clock app will go a long way to cut down on hassle.
Users can set alarms up in the Clock app and then, when choosing sounds, can link their Spotify account (free or premium, doesn’t matter) and choose a song via search, playlists or the recently played list. When the alarm goes off, you’ll have the option of continuing on with your Spotify session.
Google says that the feature will be out to all users around the world (at least where Spotify is supported) by the end of the week on devices with Android 5.0 Lollipop and later.
Option 1 Drag&drop songs, albums or playlists you want to download from Spotify app to the Ondesoft Spotify Converter interface. Option 2: Click the Add Files button, copy and paste the Spotify song/album/playlist link to the bottom area, then click the Add button. Even Google Play Music works for this, and after you download a song, you can use it for an alarm tone with most apps. The way each song downloading app works is different, but after spending a few minutes with any of the three above, or even another app, you can download songs in seconds to wake you up whenever you feel like it. The app will ask you to combine the two services. Accept to continue; You will be given the opportunity to select a recently played song, or a playlist, or a suggested one based on your musical tastes. You can also search for a specific song by clicking on the magnifying glass and starting a search for the song directly in the Spotify app. Starting today an update links the Spotify applications and the Google clock so we can choose the app themes as the default sound for our alarm clock. Both Free and Premium users will see how, within the clock application, a new tab of sounds will appear, beyond the classic tones; it will be there where you can choose countless songs from dozens of lists of music for our mornings, relaxing.
If you’ve got Spotify, there’s no need for separate, dedicated alarm apps anymore.
